VP of Business Development Assistant

JOB TITLE:             VP of Business Development Assistant     FLSA:   Non-Exempt    


REPORTS TO:         VP of Business Development 


SUMMARY:             Performs all functions according to established policies and procedures.  Provide administrative support to VP of Business Development.  Responsible for organizing and managing assigned project initiatives and supporting efforts with regard to organizational and strategic objectives, and strengthening VTC’s reputation in the industry.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: “Essential functions” are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer.


  1. Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business.
  2. Assist in preparing action plans and schedules to identify specific targets using a true team approach working with VP of Business Development. 
  3. Create plans, presentations and strategies that offer us the greatest opportunity for success in the least amount of time.
  4. Gather and communicate market intelligence to appropriate company personnel.
  5. Participate and organize events and outings as well as other needs as defined by the demands of the marketplace and the needs of the business. .




  1. 1 -2 years of related experience, will consider savvy entry-level applicants.
  2. High School Diploma with a strong aptitude in mathematics.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Solid interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build positive relationships.
  5. Passion and drive to meet or exceed the company outlined sales growth and profitability targets.
  6. Motivated by developing a business and capable of working independently.
  7. Must be extremely proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  1. 8.      Possess effective verbal and listening skills.
  2. 9.      Work may require more than 40 hours per week.
  3. 10.  Some travel may be required.

Visual requirements include reading off a computer screen as well as printed materials. 

Verbal and auditory requirements include the ability to communicate clearly over the telephone as well as in person.

There is a high level of grasping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling of objects of more than 25 lbs.
